Monstera exilata, crooked window leaf
This item is a set of plants with the planter!
Height (including pot) 35 cm, breeding pot 11 cm
This green climbing plant remains slightly smaller than the delicious window leaf. Like these, under good conditions it produces flowers that resemble a calla lily. However, this rarely happens with indoor plants. The fruits that may appear after flowering are edible and have a taste reminiscent of pineapple. The large, completely green leaves are usually perforated and rarely slit.
Location: grows best in partial shade, although it tolerates shade but not full midday sun
Care:
- Keep it moist but not wet, otherwise there is a risk of root rot
- Give foliar plant fertilizer regularly throughout the growing season
- Location not below room temperature, cold is poorly tolerated
- Propagated via head cuttings or sections of the plant
- Hardly susceptible to pests or diseases, leaf spots indicate root rot
- Repot as needed if pot becomes too small
Note: This houseplant does not like the cold of the ground, so you may want to insulate the pot against rising cold. Wooden or Styrofoam pads are suitable for this.
